Happy Thanksgiving from our kindergarten students!! Mrs. Saad, Ms. Shaheen and Mrs. Drainas had their students complete this fun family project. Which one is your favorite? Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! School resumes December 1!

What a wonderful turnout we had this morning at our Donuts with Dad event!  Children shared a book or piece of writing with their parent.  Look at all the fun they had!

Did you know that there are many educational websites available for your child? All parents received a list of educational websites at parent teacher conferences.  Can’t remember where you put it?  NO PROBLEM!  Just click on the Educational Links page at the top and you will find them there!

Teachers will be holding parent teacher conferences Wednesday and Thursday evening. Your child’s teacher has sent home conference reminders. Please make it a priority to meet with your child’s teacher. You will receive their report card as well as discuss with the teacher important testing information.

Students are learning math in a more engaging way this year! Math workshop allows teachers to focus on the individual need of each child. Here are first graders during math workshop Kindergarteners love math workshop too!

Save those receipts!! There is a GREAT new app called Shoparoo that helps McDonald Elementary raise money. You can help too! Shoparoo is a free mobile app that lets you earn cash donations for any school you choose, just by taking pictures of your shopping receipts. It’s that easy and just takes a few seconds….

Don’t forget that students have off on Tuesday, November 4th! Teachers district wide will be attending professional development. Also, McDonald students will have a half day of school Friday, November 7th. Teachers will be completing report cards and preparing for conferences. Please pick up your child at 11:45am

Don’t forget to wear your black and orange on Friday, October 31st! Remember students my not wear costumes of any kind!
