Make sure your students is here for COUNT DAY!
Student Count Day – Wednesday, October 3, 2018
Wednesday, October 3, 2018, is a Student Count Day for public schools across Michigan, including Dearborn Public Schools.
While it is important for our students to be in school every day, actively participating in the learning process, attendance on student count days is particularly helpful, as count days determine the amount of per-student funding the State of Michigan will provide the school district for the upcoming school year.
Attendance on count day significantly reduces the paperwork and follow up required for each individual absence. Wednesday is the first of two count days that take place during each school year, with the second happening in February.
We encourage families to make every effort – barring student illness or a family emergency – to have their students at school for Student Count Day, Wednesday, October 3rd. Thank you, as always, for being a part of what makes our schools strong!
