Friday, December 2nd is a very busy day at McDonald Elementary! Lifetouch Photography will be back for kindergarten pictures as well as picture retakes. We will also be hosting a bake sale in the afternoon!

McDonald students are taking part in a school wide food drive.  Students in kindergarten through fifth grade are being asked to bring in food items that will be donated to Gleaners Food Bank. Tomorrow , November 16, will be our first last start.  School will begin at 9:35.  Students should not arrive earlier as the doors will be locked. Our day started with a little song and dance in the gym with Mr.  Cook.  He helped us get our brains pumping and ready for the day! Then the 5th graders handmade a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings and had a feast in the cafeteria.

We would like to extend an invitation to our upcoming vocal music concerts!  We cannot wait to share some beautiful music with you! Kindergarten and 1st grade    November 16th  2:45 p.m. 2nd grade, 3rd grade and The Madrigal Choir November 18th  4:30 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there!

All teachers have set up Parent-Teacher Conferences for one of the following dates: Thursday, November 10th  Wednesday, November 16th Thursday, November 17th  Please make sure you come at your scheduled time in order to receive a copy of your child’s report card and talk about his/her progress this school year.  

Our 5th graders had a hands on learning experience today when they went shopping at the fruit market in order to prepare a Thanksgiving feast on Friday.  Students used problem solving, cooperation and real world connections at the fruit market.
