March is Reading Month!

March is just a few short days away and that means  March is Reading Month is here! The theme this year is CAMP READ-A-LOT.  Our kick-off is March 1st and we are starting things off with Class Color Day! Students will wear a specified color based on what grade they are in:

  • kindergarten–red
  • 1st grade–orange
  • 2nd grade–yellow
  • 3rd grade–green
  • 4th grade–purple
  • 5th grade–blue

We will also start our Myon competition on March 1st!  Students will read nightly for the entire month and the class that reads the most minutes in March will earn a prize!

We  have several guest readers lined up this month! Our first guest reader will be Dr. Chochol on March 1st.  As always, we welcome parents and family members to come in as guest readers.  If you are interested in being a guest reader, please contact your child’s teacher!

Stay tuned for more updates as the month goes on!

Bake Sale!

We hope you are enjoying a relaxing snow day!  Just a reminder that our amazing PTA will be hosting a bake sale tomorrow, February 26.

Baked goods may be sent to school with your child in the morning. As always, volunteers are welcome to help throughout the afternoon.

We look forward to a SWEET Friday!
