Winter Break starts on December 23, 2013! The staff at McDonald Elementary wishes you a safe and happy holiday season! Students will return to school Monday, January 6, 2014.

      This year, McDonald 4th and 5th graders will have the opportunity to attend camp.  There will be an important meeting Friday, December 6th at 2:30 to discuss camp details.  Again, this is for parents of students in the 4th AND 5th grade!  

Our next late start will be on December 11th. Please remember that school starts at 9:30. There will be no breakfast served that morning.

  Parent teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, November 14; Wednesday, November 20; and Thursday, November 21 from 4:00-7:00 pm.  Please check with your child’s teacher for a date and time.  We are looking forward to seeing you!  

Each month, we celebrate those students at McDonald Elementary who are McDonald Super Stars!  These students have demonstrated excellent behavior during the month of October and follow our PBIS Expectations of being safe, respectful, and responsible. This past month, we had a record setting 244 students attend!  Way to go Panthers!  

McDonald Elementary is going green!  Well, we already are a Green School…our students recycle and we have learned how to care for our environment.  This past week Green Club members spent some time after school planting bulbs.  Look for new flowers to sprout this Spring!  

Congratulations to Mrs. Blasko and the McDonald Runners!  We had a great turnout for the 2nd Annual Robert Cipriano Run.  A BIG congrats to Batoul!  Batoul placed 3rd out of all of the 4th grade girls. Below are some pictures of our students representing McDonald Elementary:    

Bingo for Books Literacy Night!   All children will win a prize! Bingo for books will be held on Monday,  November 25 from 3:45-4:45. EVERY  CHILD GOES HOME WITH AT LEAST ONE BOOK. Ticket prices are $2 in advance and $3 at the door. Please plan to attend this fun filled event with your child.  

McDonald Elementary has many NEW activities for students to take part in. Below are just a few! Art Club–meets Wednesdays from 3:45-4:45 Green Club–meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Honors Choir–meets Thursday from 3:45-4:45 2nd Grade Computer Club–meets Thursday from 3:45-4:45

Please remember that there will be NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, November 5th. Also there is a 1/2 day on Friday, November 8th. Students are dismissed at 11:45.
