It is with deep regret that I inform you that our World Language teacher, Mrs. Omari has decided to leave the district. The staff and students are sad to see her go. Until this position is filled by the district, substitute teacher, Miss Hassan will be taking her place.
Remember, February Break starts on Monday. There will be no school the week of Feb. 17- Feb. 21. Enjoy the time off and don’t forget to read everyday. See you back in class on February 24, 2014!

This year, McDonald 4th and 5th graders will have the opportunity to attend camp. There will be an important meeting Friday, December 6th at 2:30 to discuss camp details. Again, this is for parents of students in the 4th AND 5th grade!
Our next late start will be on December 11th. Please remember that school starts at 9:30. There will be no breakfast served that morning.
Parent teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, November 14; Wednesday, November 20; and Thursday, November 21 from 4:00-7:00 pm. Please check with your child’s teacher for a date and time. We are looking forward to seeing you!
Each month, we celebrate those students at McDonald Elementary who are McDonald Super Stars! These students have demonstrated excellent behavior during the month of October and follow our PBIS Expectations of being safe, respectful, and responsible. This past month, we had a record setting 244 students attend! Way to go Panthers!
McDonald Elementary is going green! Well, we already are a Green School…our students recycle and we have learned how to care for our environment. This past week Green Club members spent some time after school planting bulbs. Look for new flowers to sprout this Spring!
