McDonald PTA sponsored Bingo for Books night on Thursday, February 23 from 7:00 - 8:30 pm in the cafeteria. Over 125 students, parents and staff members attended. Participanting students included current students, returning middle school students and even Fordson High schoolers that went to McDonald 6 years ago. PTA prseident, Mrs. Saad, PTA secretary, Miss Suzanne Moskal, and Principal Dr. Harp were in charge. Fifth grade instructor, Mr. Larry Dziewit showed up with his son the help serving the students pop and cookies. As refreshments were served, weary eyes were pinned on the Bingo charts looking for the loudly announced numbers by Miss Moskal on McDonald's newly purchased wireless speaker system. Bingo prizes were interesting books given to the many winners at the end of the Bingo game sessions. Students who did not win any books were given free pencils. There were no losers at McDonald in the end. This has been the third consecutive year for successful BINGO nights at McDonald Elementary. The crowd is getting bigger every time. Many thanks go to Miss Lil Shaheen and Fred Seitz for all the preparartion they contributed to this successful event.
